Biography
Infanta doña Sancha de Aragón is the third of the four daughters of Alfonso II, King of Aragon and his wife Sancha de Castilla, and was probably born about 1190.[1]
Her elder sister Leonor (Eleanor) had been married in January 1203, as his fifth wife, to Raymond VI, Count of Toulouse[1] and to strengthen the relationship between the two states, Sancha was betrothed at the same time to Raymond VI's son, who was to succeed as Raymond VII, even though he was only about six years old, and Sancha was 7 years older.
They were married in January 1211[1] and their only child, Jeanne was born in 1220.
