Bert Apperley was born on May 2, 1918 in Wapella, Saskatchewan, Canada, son of Adrian H Apperley (abt. 1878–1965) and Edith Blanche Westhaver (abt. 1884–1975).^[1]

Bert (27) married Gladys Elizabeth Earline Apperley (25) (born on May 13, 1920 in Zehner, Saskatchewan, Canada; daughter of Vernon Godfrey Apperley and Ina Emeline (Pady) Apperley) on April 7, 1946 in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Their known children were:
