Vina is notable for her work as an Underground Railroad station keeper in Amelia County, Virginia. She accomplished her important work while she was enslaved in Amelia County, Virginia.
Her estimated birth year was 1805 or 1806.
On October 7, 1853 she was murdered by the man who had enslaved her.
Research indicates she did not have a last name.
Her work was life changing for the people she helped, yet her work as an UGRR station keeper went seemingly unrecognized until 2023.
Further research into Vina’s situation is necessary to better understand the Underground Railroad.
