Arthur Annesley was a member of the aristocracy in England.

Arthur Annesley, 11th Viscount of Valentia was born on 23 August 1843. He was the son of Hon. Arthur Annesley and Flora Mary Macdonald. He married Laura Sarah Webb, daughter of Daniel Hale Webb, on 30 January 1878. He died on 20 January 1927 at age 83. He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.3 He succeeded to the title of 11th Baronet Annesley, of Mountnorris, co. Armagh [I., 1620] on 30 December 1863. He succeeded to the title of 11th Viscount of Valentia, co. Kerry [I., 1622] on 30 December 1863. He succeeded to the title of 11th Baron Mountnorris, of Mountnorris, co. Armagh [I., 1629] on 30 December 1863. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in 1864 in the service of the 10th Hussars. He held the office of High Sheriff for Oxfordshire in 1874.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for Oxford between 1885 and 1917. He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire. He was decorated with the award of the Territorial Decoration (T.D.). He was Comptroller of the Household between 1898 and 1905. He fought in the Boer War in 1900, where he was mentioned in despatches. He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1900. He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1901. He held the office of Lord-in-Waiting between 1915 and 1924.3 He was created 1st Baron Annesley, of Bletchington, co. Oxford [U.K.] on 7 May 1917. He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1923
