We need the Kentucky Project Members to join the Kentucky Genealogical Society's WikiTree Challenge! We are going for the record.... over 500 new profiles!
Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.
I see you are interested in the Kincaid surname in NC, KY & IL. My Kincaids were in KY and IL and I know we have a connection to Daniel Boone in there somewhere. Id love to see how we are connected.
Also, I see you are interested in the surname Angle in CA. I live in CA on a piece of property once owned by an Angle. Im curious if these Angles are connected to yours.
I really appreciate you reaching out. I noticed your Kincaids were in Menard, Ill. To date I have not been able to prove a connection to those Kincaids. I need to check for a DNA connection. I would love that because then I could tie in to that family.
Interesting about the Angles. Where in California are you? My Angles lived in Merced Co (Dos Palos). I know there was a Rench Angle that had lots of property in Northern CA I believe but I did not find I was related to that family. My ggrandfather changed our family nanme from Angle to Angel. He moved to Alameda Co, CA for the Spanish American war about 1898.
My Kincaids were also in Peoria, IL, Bath Co, KY and Cumberland, PA. You have tested at Ancestry? I looked in my dads matches and didnt see your user name, but that doesnt mean we arent related.
And I was mistaken about Daniel Boone. My connection to him is through another line - the Logans of Carter Co & Rowan Co, KY.
And the property I live on did indeed once belong to Rench Angle.
Ive not heard back from you so presume you dont want to continue in the Canada Project at this time so have gone ahead and removed your badge. If that changes anytime you would be most welcome to re-join in the future.
I am sorry, I have not gotten any of your messages. I am interested in numerous projects, but have minimal time to participate. I am offically retired as of today. Maybe I will have more time in 2020.
I have so many family lines I am working on in multiple trees / venues. I am interested in the Canada Project. My Hornes arrived there in the early 1800's and a dear friend has family that lived in Quebec for decades arriving from Ireland. I will participate with the Canadian lines, as time allows. So far, not so good, but I did add my friend's Canadian connection (Blaney, LaVoie, and lots more.)

I havent yet heard back from you to say whether or not youd like to continue in the Canada Project. Please can you let me know if youd like to stay, what team(s) youd like to be in, and let me know your e-mail address so I can add you to the project Google Group? If I havent heard back from you by this time next week Ill assume you no longer want to be in the project and go ahead and remove you. You would, of course, be most welcome to re-join at any time.
Greg Lavoie, Dave Rutherford and I have put a lot of work into restructuring the Canada Project. Have a look at the new project page.
You'll see that we've changed the project name to the Canada Project and the badge will be changed shortly. We've done this in order to provide lots of ways for people to contribute to Canadian Profiles. We've also moved towards a team approach with top level teams being lead by Project Coordinators and sub-teams being lead by Team Leaders.
Would you like to continue in the Canada Project, and if so, which team(s) would you like to be on?
Let me know if you have any questions. Once I hear back from you I'll add you to the Google group and get you set up in your team(s).
Hi Laurie, You had asked if I knew where my Horne's were from... and yes I do!! I have been researching them for a while, as my gr grandfather died when my grandfather was 9 yrs old. he just didnt know much. My Horne's are from Wolfe Island in Canada.
You need to add what team your are going to work with. Are you going with Team Tennessee Volunteers. Also you need also to answer Liz so you can get a badge. You need to tell her that she is right that it is Laurie C. Angel. Also you could send me a email with your email address so I can make you a profile manager and put you on the trusted list.

Welcome to the Massachusetts part of the US History Project. I'm Bob Keniston, and I'm the Coordinator for Massachusetts. There are a lot of sources out there for Bay Staters. If there is anything I can do to assist you in tracking down members of your family or you have questions about WikiTree, feel free to ask. Always glad to help. BTW, we might be cousins through your Locke ancestors. There are quite a few Locke profiles already on WikiTree. See if you are connected to any of them.
