Biography
Colin Fife Angas was born on 23 November 1920 in North Adelaide, South Australia, the son of Monica Alice Angas and Ronald Fife Angas .[1] [2]
From 1933 to 1939, he attended Geelong Grammar School in Geelong, Victoria.[3]
He married, firstly, Marjory Alice Murray ,[1] his first cousin. They had one son and two daughters.[1]
In June 1948, Colin was best man at the wedding of Alexander Ronald Murray in Toorak, Victoria.[4]
Colin and Marjory divorced around 1950.[5]
His second marriage, around 1951, was to Ann Maudsley .[1] They had two daughters and one son.[1]
Colin was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) in 2007 for service to the community of Angaston, South Australia, particularly through rural fire service and local government roles.[6]
He died on 6 March 2016, aged 96 years.[7] [3]
