There is another problem with your gedcom, there are about 500 people with no birth or death dates or other information, a few are acceptable but that number will get the import refused.

I would suggest that you start again with a smaller gedcom, 30 people or so, of direct relatives, make sure you add dates and full names, places as well make matching easier, they will be automatically marked private as the system knows they are living. This smaller gedcom will give you an idea of the work involved after the import, in the meantime you could prepare further gedcoms adding lines where you have dates and sources as a priority and people clustered around the matches you have found already.

John,

It looks like you were very thorough in your gedcom. Only thing that I noticed was unknowns/living's profiles. SEE: Skip anyone without a full name (e.g. named Living or Unknown) unless they have other substantial information.

It does not look like you have skipped those people. Once this is done, if you scroll to the bottom of the report page there is a link to approve and then once that is done it should upload. I will have Rhian check in with you though, just to make sure. From there, if there is still an issue it will go to our resident "expert".  :) Hope this helps. Nae

PS your gedcom report is ready to review. Go to your CONTRIBUTIONS and select your gedcom upload, and step 2 has the link for the report.

Hi Two Week Member!

How are things going? A couple of tips for you as you add to your tree. If you find a duplicate profile, and complete a merge, all the information from one merge is copied into the new combined profile. Please go in and edit the Biography section remove "duplicate" information.

If you don't have a last or first name, note the related information in the related profile's biography section until additional information is found rather than creating an unknown profile.

If you don't have a date or place of birth, at least try and estimate that information and note that it is an estimate in the Bio section.

And lastly, source as you go, because if you're like me, you won't remember where you found the info.

I am a mentor and here to help so let me know! Nae
