Thomas James Edwin Andrews was born in August 1890 the son of Thomas J. and Elizabeth A. Andrews at Newtown in the Colony of New South Wales.
Tommy Andrews was an Australian test cricketer who played for New South Wales. He played in 16 Test matches from 1921 to 1926 as a batsman with moderate success, but never managed to cement his position in the side. He made his Test debut against the English at Nottingham in England in May 28 - 30, 1921. And his last, also against the English at The Oval in England from August 14 - 18, 1926.
On the 2nd of November 1927, Tommy Andrews married Miss Marcia (sometimes listed as Martha) Picken, the youngest daughter of the late Mr. William Picken, and Mrs. M. Picken of Auburn, New South Wales.
Tommy Andrews passed away in January 1970 and is buried in the Rookwood General Cemetery, Rookwood, New South Wales.
