Marriage
Philip married Elizabeth Cocking on 31 May 1823 in the Parish of Newlyn East, Cornwall. They were married by Banns with witnesses to the marriage being Mary Sampson Thomas and Jno Oliver.[2]
Life Through the Census
The 1861 England & Wales Census has Philip as Head of Household, married and aged 68 years. His occupation is given as "Fund Holder born in Phillack. His wife Elizabeth is aged 67 years and also noted as a "Fund Holder" born in St Agnes. There address is given as 101 Angarrack.[3]
In the 1871 England & Wales Census Philip Andrewarths is the head of the household, and a widow aged 78 years. He is listed as a retired engineer born in Phillack. Living in the same household is Mary E. Liddicoat, an unmarried servant, aged 29 years, born in Phillack.[4]
Death
Philip died in 1873 in Phillack, Cornwall and was buried on 8 March 1873. He was aged 80 years. His residence at the time was Angarrack, Cornwall.[5]
Philip was buried on 8 March 1873, at St Felicitas and St Piala Churchyard, Hayle, Cornwall.A headstone exists at the Churchyard.[6]
