Anders Andersson migrated from Sweden to New Sweden in 1643 aboard the Swanen.
Anders Andersson the Finn arrived in New Sweden in 1643 aboard either the Fama or the Swan and accompanied by his wife, Christina Gulbrand, and at least one child (Anna Andersdotter). [1]
In the first English census of the area in 1671, Anders Andersson the Finn lived with his wife Christina and their adult sons, Justa and Johan Andersson, on a 900 acre plantation at Deer Point which had been deeded by Governor Lovelace of New York in 1669 to Anders Andersson, Sinnick Broer and Walraven Jansen de Vos. [2]
"Anders Andersson the Finn (#83) was sent to New Sweden with his family for punishment in 1643. A few years prior to 1669 he had moved from Upland Creek to this new location. He and his wife Christina lived here with their adult sons, Justa and Johan Andersson. Anders the Finn conveyed his property to these sons, 1 September 1673"[3]
Anders died after deeding his lands to his sons, Justa Andersson and John Andersson on 1 Sep 1673, at his home at Deer Point (now Richardson Park in Wilmington, New Castle, Delaware).[4] (Following the English defeat of the Dutch, the settlements along the Delaware fell under control of the (English) Governor of New York until William Penn's patents were issued in 1682, so this region was technically part of the Colony of New York.) [5][6]
Research Notes
A record (see immediately below) exists showing the christening of one Anna Andersdotter at Västerås, Västmanland, Sweden on 01 Nov 1637. It is possible that this is the duaghter of the Anders Andersson in this profile, but because the patronymic naming system of the time made this a fairly common name, we would like more evidence to know that this is the correct location .

New Sweden Forefathers. Andersson listed here as correct last name at birth [LNAB].
I have looked through the profiles involved, and come to the conclusion that Christina Gullbrand / Coolbrandt belongs to this Anders Andersson (the Finn) and not to Andres Andriessen van Boskerck nor to Anders Andersson, the father of Johan Andersson Stalcop. But it seems her Last Name isn't in the sources?
Hök_till_Partille-1 should not at all be merged with Anders Andersson the Finn. This was a conflation with the family circle Hök af Partille / Appelbom, where individuals had some extremely common Swedish given names and patronymics - no wonder the combination of parents and daughter looked the same.
They seem to have been partly mixed up with the New Sweden folks already at their arrival in WikiTree several years ago, when sourcing was not watched as closely.
Hök till Partille-1 and Andersson-6131 are not ready to be merged because: The parents named for Partille-1 (and parent for his wife, also being matched) are completely undocumented, and thier names do not appear in the available sources for Adners. This could be correct, or it could be a conflation of a different family.
Peter Craig states: "Anders the Finn, formerly a soldier at Fort Älvsborg in Sweden, had been banished to New Sweden as punishment for some undisclosed crime." Maybe there are records in Sweden which connect him to family???
Hök till Partille-1 and Andersson-6131 appear to represent the same person because: similar name, similar spouse name (to be merged), same daughter name with exact same spouse on both profiles. Hök_till_Partille-1 is unsourced.
Not ready for PPP until the death place field is corrected. Please remove parentheses and "now Richardson Park in Wilmington" and place it in the biography, if you wish to include it. Use the correct geographical location for the time period. (Probably Deer Point, New Castle, Delaware Colony.
