Leroy Anderson was born on 29 Jun 1908 in Cambridge, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States the son of Brewer Anton Anderson & Anna Margaret Anderson
Leroy married Eleanor Jane Firke (1918 - 2014) on 31 Oct 1942 in Grace Episcopal Church, New York City, New York, United States.[1]
Leroy died on 18 May 1975 in Woodbury, Litchfield, Connecticut aged 66.[2]
Leroy Anderson was an American composer of short, light concert pieces, many of which were introduced by the Boston Pops Orchestra under the direction of Arthur Fiedler. John Williams described him as "one of the great American masters of light orchestral music."
