John S. Anderson was born March 29, 1843 in Marion Township, Hancock County, County, Ohio, the son of Samuel Anderson and Margaret Short. The month and year are presented as 1842 in the 1900 Census.[1] All other life records indicate a birth year of 1843. John married L. S. Lockhart November 5, 1870 in Allen County, Kansas.[3]
He passed away August 13, 1927 in Sawtelle, California.[4]
He is buried at Los Angeles National Cemetery located in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California.[5]
