Of this Fred, this record also tells us he was 28yrs old at the time and that his parents were Washington H. Amsden and Ann "Cloye" (sic), (his mother was Chloe Ann Gates).[2]

He is living there in Athol, with his 40yr old father, Washington H. Amsden, his 39yr old mother, Chloe A. and his three brothers; 12yr old Otho F., 5yr old Wm (William?) "Bowers," (uncertain on last name), and that his parents were Washington Amsden, born in Dana, Massachusetts and Chloe Gates, born in Wendell, Massachusetts. The record says he died of acute cholloctitis.[9]
