Biography
Sarah (Amos) Wood is a part of US Black heritage.
Sarah was born about 1858 in Mississippi. She was the daughter of Thomas Amos and Harriett Oliver. In 1880 Sarah was living with her parents and siblings in Harris County, Texas.[1]
Sarah married Willis Wood (or Woods) in Harris County, Texas in 1882. [2] In 1900 Sarah and Willis were living in Harris County, Texas with 7 children.[3]
She passed away in 1938. She was buried in Amos Cemetery in Kohrville, Texas.[4]
