I have been working on genealogy for over 40 years plus I inherited my maternal aunt's (Alma Wiles) research which added another 40 years of research totalling 80 years! I was also fortunate enough that most of the heirlooms on my father's side came to be owned by my two aunts (Edna & Nelle) so I had easy access to photographs, documents, and of course the old-time stories.
I am researching the following families in Missouri and elsewhere:
Mother's side: Luttrell/Littrell, Thornton, Ash, Irwin, Bryant, and Shelton.
Father's side: Amelung/Amelunke, Bodenstein, Schleuter/Schlüter, Suedekum/ Südekum, Gockel, and Wolff.
I am told that I was named after a blonde haired jewish girl that my mother use to babysit for in St. Louis. My middle name came from my Aunt, Edna (Amelung) Hall. I have lived in Pacific, Franklin County, Missouri up till 1986. Since then, I've lived in many different states as my husband was a Civil Engineer and built bridges. We are both retired now which allows me to spend more time on genealogy.

I was born in St. Louis and my family lives there. We pass through Franklin County on our way to visit them. I am in Polk County, about 2 hrs from you!

Segment threshold size will be adjusted dynamically with an average of 200 SNPs. About 2/3 will occur between 185 and 214 SNPs. Minimum segment cM to be included in total = 7.0 cM Mismatch-bunching Limit will be adjusted to 60 percent of the segment threshold size for any given segment.

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page. These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.
Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

Great to see your input here, your diligent research and documentation is a great addition to our common tree!

I'm so glad to see you've decided to join WikiTree. I have visited your website many times over the years and found it extremely useful, especially for my Luttrell line. I'd like to thank you for all the research and work you have made available to researchers like myself. You will definitely be an asset to WikiTree.

We are so happy you decided to upgrade to the Family Member level.
Please visit our tutorial pages to learn how to use WikiTree: How To Use WikiTree. They will save you time, energy, and frustration as you add your family profiles.
Exploring the site is the best way to learn. One way to do that is to check out the drop-down menus on the top right side of your profile page. Finding a known ancestor and collaborating with the profile manager is another great way to start.
Questions? You can always use the G2G link in the Help Menu to find answers.
