Biography
Catharine Althoff was born in Hanover, Pennsylvania in 1833. She married John R. Adams.
Mrs. Catherine B. Adams, widow of John R. Adams, died at her home in Hanover, last Wednesday, age 65 years. Funeral was on last Saturday. She leaves five sons and four daughters. Deceased was the daughter of the late Joseph Althoff of Hanover, and is survived by three brothers, William Althoff of York, Lewis Althoff of Baltimore, and Harry Althoff of McSherrystown.[1]
