Sigmund Alpern died as a result of persecution during the Holocaust.
Sigmund, son of Ytzkhak Alpern and Rakhel Eisig, was born 18 December 1893 in Kolomyia, Ukraine. [1]
Sigmund Alpern married Therese Rothschild 15 September 1921 in Charlottenburg, Berlin, Germany.
Sigmund was sent to concentration camp Buchenwald and was registered there 7 April 1944. What happened afterwards to him is unknown, but he is assumed to have died. His death date and place were later legally declared to be 31 May 1945 in Central Europe. [1]
