The Bristol Monthly Meeting recorded the birth of Eleanor Allen, daughter of Nathaniel Allen, on 20th day of the 7th month [September 20], 1666.[1]
Eleanor emigrated to colonial America with her parents and, on 12 November 1685, married George Emlen of Philadelphia.[2] Three children were born to this marriage, all of whom died young. Eleanore passed away shortly after the birth of the third child.[citation needed]
