Research Notes
Trees at other sites have him as Robert Isham Allen born in Daviess, Kentucky, United States, his father, Rev. Isham Randolph Allen, was 36 and his mother, Lucinda Catlett, was 41. However, all the records for them and their other children suggest that is a white family and most records for this Robert are either Mulatto or black. He enlists in a coloured unit in the civil war. Thus, I don’t think this Robert is a son of Rev. Isham Randolph Allen and Lucinda Catlett.
