26 Oct 1888 Francis Allen married Scott Tweatt in St. Clair Co., AL. Both are listed as Colored, her age is listed as 16 and his age is 21. ^{[2] [3]}

This Social Security record suggests the spelling of the name either was changed or was incorrect in the marriage record. Her husband signed his mark so we apparently could not spell or write.^[4]. So perhaps Threat is the proper spelling.
