Biography

Newton Allen is a part of US Black heritage.

Newton was the son of Henry Allen and Fannie Cox and was born in Texas. He married Rosa Polean on August 17, 1897 in Travis Land District, Texas, United States and they had four children. Henry was a laborer and took odd jobs. Their son, Newt Jr., was a member of the Kansas City Monarchs of the American Negro Baseball Leagues.

Newton died of tuberculosis at the age of 35. He is buried at Plummers Cemetery in Austin, Travis County, Texas.
