William was born about 1805. He was the son of Lewis Allen and Elizabeth Black. He married 1st Elinor Seybold on 2 Mar 1824 in Orange County, Indiana. He married 2nd Eleanor Harris on 8 Jul 1829 in Orange County, Indiana. He married 3rd Deborah Hobson on 23 Aug 1831 in Orange County, Indiana. In the 1840 U.S. Census he shows to have 2 sons aged 5 to 10 and 1 daughter aged under 5. He married 4th Lettice Palmer on 20 May 1837 in Orange County, Indiana. They have 8 child: Jonathan, Lewis, Lucretia, Abimelech, William, John W, Margaret, Benjamin. He married 5th Sarah Brown on 13 Feb 1867 in DuBois County, Indiana. They have 5 children: Mary, Sarah, George, Reuben, Clara. William passed away after the 1880 U.S. Census.
