Biography
John Fisher Allan was born in 1850 at Cockermouth, Cumberland, England, the son of Mary (Wilkinson) Allan and James Allan.[1]
John emigrated to Australia with his mother and siblings on the Great Victoria in 1863.[2]
He married Elizabeth McGreggor in 1871 in Victoria, Australia.[3] Their children were:
- Mabel Isabel Eleanor Allan (1874?–1948?)[4]
- Eldred Allan (1875–?)[5]
- Lilian Olive Allan (1877–?)[6]
- Percy James Allan (1880–?)[7]
John died in 1930 in St Kilda, Victoria, aged 70 years.[8]
