Biography
Mary Ann Alford, born 1856, went to live with her older sister and husband in Armidale.
She did not marry but had 6 children: Robert John, born 1880, John born 1884, (these two born before Mary Ann Alford's sister, Alton died.) William born 1887, Alice Maud born 1889, Hannah born in 1892 and Ethel born in 1894. Mary Ann Alford didn’t die until 1945.
All of Mary Ann Alford's children were listed as Alfred and none of the births named a father.
Mary passed away in Armidale on 6 May 1945. Her parents were recorded as John and Anna. [1] Her funeral was held at Piddington's Funeral Chapel on 8 May, 1945. [2]. She was interred at Armidale General Cemetery.[3]
