Biography

Harry Alexander Jr is a part of US Black heritage.

Harry Carlton Alexander was born on 18 Aug 1915 in Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. He was the son of Harry Alexander and Rosanna Carter.^[1] In 1920^[2] and 1930^[3], the family was living in the home of Harry's grandfather, Henry Alexander in Gallipolis, Gallia County, Ohio.

Harry C Alexander and Elsa L Rankin, daughter of Vinton Rankin and Tressie Halley, married on 03 Oct 1944 in Lucas County, Ohio.^[4] They both remarried in 1946, so they must have divorced before then.

Harry married Ruth Isabelle Hall on 2 Apr 1946 in San Francisco, California.^[5] They had one son. They lived in Toledo, Lucas County, Ohio and Harry worked for the N & W railroad for 38 years before retiring in 1979.^[6][7]

Harry died on 10 Jan 1996 in New Mexico^[6] and was buried in Lake Township Cemetery in Walbridge, Wood County, Ohio.^[8]
