Biography

Mary Alden died young.

Mary Alden was the first child of John Alden, Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Phillips Everill Alden. She was born December 17, 1659 at Boston, Massachusetts and probably died between 1660 and 1668.

According to Mayflower Births and Deaths, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth.[1]

According to the 2002 Alden Silver book, Mary was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Phillips) (Everill) Alden. [2] A problem arises because John and Elizabeth Phillips were not married until 1 April 1660.[3]

According to a couple of sources, Mary's mother was John Alden's first wife, Elizabeth _______. See the Alden source on profile. This same information is in the Mayflower Births and Deaths source if you have access to Ancestry. Another source, Mayflower Families Five Generations (1999) includes Mary with the children of Elizabeth Philips. As such, her mother is uncertain.
