Biography

James Ainsworth was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

James Henry Ainsworth was born on 10 March 1857 at Macleay River, New South Wales, and baptised at St Thomas Church of England, Port Macquarie. He was the son of Isaac Ainsworth and Charlotte Grace Smith. [1]

He married Alice Parish in 1880 at Macleay River, New South Wales. [2]

He died, aged 81, on 13 August 1938 at Ashfield, New South Wales, Australia and was buried at Rookwood Cemetery. [3] [4]

Sydney news reports the death of Mr. James Henry Ainsworth Saturday last at his residence 47 Kingston street. Haberfield. Mr. Ainsworth, aged 81, was for many years a highly respected resident on this Macleay River, where his son Henry still resides. Mrs. Pearl Secomb and Mrs. Queenie Lutton are surviving daughters.[5]
