Biography

Elliott Aiken is a part of US Black heritage.

Elliott was born in 1914. He was the son of Joe Aiken and Janie Furman.

In the 1920 census Elliot (age 5) was the son of Joseph Aiken in Bull Pond Township, Allendale, South Carolina, United States. He was living with his parents and three siblings.^[1]

In the 1930 census Eliot (age 15) was the single son of Joseph Aiken in Barnwell, Barnwell, South Carolina.^[2]

Elliott (age 21) married Mary Alice Priester (age 22) on 26 October 1935 in Barnwell, South Carolina.^[3] Elliott and Mary Alice had four children.

In the 1940 census Elliott (age 25) was the married head of household in Fort Lauderdale, Broward, Florida. He was a truck driver. His wife and two children lived in the household with him.^[4]

Elliott registered for the WWII U.S. military draft on 16 October 1940 in Fort Lauderdale, Broward, Florida.^[5]

In the 1950 census Elliott (age 35), Mechanic, was the married head of household in Fort Lauderdale, Broward, Florida. Elliott, Mary Alice, and their four children were living in the household.^[6]

Elliott died (age 79) on 31 March 1993 residing in Broward, Florida.^[7]
