Konrad Adenauer was a German Christian Democrat politician and statesman. He was the first Bundeskanzler of the Bundesrepublik Deutschland (Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany) from 1949 to 1963 and also the first Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1951 to 1955. He was one of the most important Germans after World War II and is called the "father of the Bundesrepublik".[1]
Konrad Hermann Joseph Adenauer was born on 5 January 1876 in Köln, Rheinprovinz, Königreich Preußen, Deutsches Reich, son of Johann Conrad Adenauer (1833–1906) and Maria Christiane Helena (Scharfenberg) Adenauer (1849–1919).

Konrad Adenauer passed away on 19 April 1967 in Rhöndorf, Bad Honnef, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Deutschland, aged 91.
