Biography

This profile was created to distinguish between this William Adams and William Adams (1736-bef.1803). This William married in 1753 so probably a little older, perhaps the son of John and Dorothy baptised at Ilton in 1727^[1] or the son of John and Elizabeth baptised in 1731/32.^[2]

William Addams married Shuanner Mitchill at Ilton on 26 May 1753.^[3] They had a daughter Joan in 1754.^[4] and a son John in 1756.^[5]

William died in 1756 and was buried at Ilton on 16 May 1756. ^[6] His son John appears to have been buried soon after, on 8 August 1756.^[7]

His wife remarried on 24 December 1757, at Ilton to Peter Drower.^[8] but they both died within a year. A sad family.
