Samson/Sampson Adams was born in Lexington, Massachusetts on 25 Aug 1729 to John Adams and Mary Flagg. Sampson married first Mary Burridge of Newton, who died 15 Mar. 1777; secondly at Woburn, 11 Nov. 1779, he married Mrs. Katherine (Davis) Bacon of Woburn, who died at Lexington, 25 Apr. 1829.
With Mary Burridge he had 9 children: Abigail; Thomas; Mary; Ephraim; John; Prudence; Archelaus; Asa; and Anna.Mary.
With Katherine he had Zabdial, bapt. 3 Oct. 1784.
He passed away on 26 Aug 1785 in Lexington, Massachusetts.
Sampson Adams was a minute man from Lexington 1776 to reinforce the army at Dorchester. He also signed a petition in support of American Independence.[1]
