SHREVEPORT, LA - Services to celebrate the life of Maggie Lee Adams Richardson, 81, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, November 28, 2009 at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood, Louisiana, 9660 Greenwood-Springridge Road, Greenwood, Louisiana. Officiating will be Rev. Theron Jackson. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive BC Cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, November 27, 2009 between 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. at Winnifield Funeral Home, 3701 Hollywood Avenue.
Maggie was born September 5, 928, in Shreveport, LA to the late Ervin and Sallie Adams. She passed away Thursday, November 19, 2009. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and humbly served in the Sunday School, Usher Board, Youth and Senior Department. She retired after 36 years of service from Caddo Parish Schools.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Richardson Sr, daughter Stacy Richardson and all of her siblings.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cleveland Richardson, Freddie Ray Adams (wife Addie), Shirley Green (husband Alvin R Green), Ada Toney (husband Claude); nieces, Helen Amin, Gloria Philyaw, Irma Roberson, Dorothy Hightower, Verdell Graves, Claudie V. Roquemore, Lavern Griffin, Ollie B Jackson, Ruby Golden, Nancy Adams, Pamela Roberson, and nephews, Willie James Adams, Sammie Williams, Lee Edward Jackson, James Edward Williams, Oscar Williams, Leon Williams, Steve Williams, Bennie Knox, Danny Roberson, Ray Earl Jewitt, Ervin Adams III, Ernest Adams and Charles Roberson; granddaughters, Faith Shipley, Juana Adams, Angela Adams and other relatives and friends.[5]
