Birth

Charles was baptised at St Martin's, Bladon on 25th November 1816.[1] He was the son of Richard Adams and Charlotte (Moulder) Adams His father gave his occupation on the baptism register as shoemaker.

Marriage

Charles Adams and Marianne Maunsell were married at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 6th August 1838.[2] They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and both of the parish. Charles and his father Richard were both shoemakers. Marianne was working as a gloveresss and was the daughter of John, a blacksmith. Both made their mark on the register with a cross, and the witnesses to the marriage were Thomas Whitlock and Ansella Long.[3]

Death

Charles died in Long Hanborough, Oxfordshire in 1890 at the age of 75.[9] He was buried at St Peter and St Paul, Hanborough on 4th March 1890.[10]
