It was so good to talk to you. You have so much more information. My grandfather, James Benjamin, had six sons, but that probably was his only claim to "fame". He was a farmer, but he never really made it. He was respected in this community and in Mills county but everyone else had a lot more material things than he ever did. My father called him a stubborn Welshman. His father, Nelson Major, was in the Civil War and was injured trying to stop an ambulance wagon from slipping into a ditch. He never fully recovered. The East Liberty cemetary east of Glenwood Iowa has the graves of Nelson and Jemima.
