Biography

Jerome was born to William Jefferson Adams and Jane Eastwood.

Jerome married Mary Angeline Frost January 29, 1854 in Fremont County, Iowa.

In 1861, Mary,Jerome, and two of their children, John Quincy and William, were part of the William K. McKissick Company wagon train which left Pleasant Grove, Iowa bound for Utah. By 1861 Mary and Jerome had had four children: Rebecca Jane, John Quincy, Cora, and William; Rebecca and Cora died before 1861, so John Quincy and William were the only children left to make the trip.

Other families in the company were:

Mary's father and five siblings: Sarah Georgina Frost (Acord), Nancy Frost (Acord), Hettie Frost, Samuel Buchanan Frost, Jr., and James McCasslin Frost.

The Acord family, which included Valentine Louis Acord, the husband of Mary's sister, Nancy Frost; Abrum Acord, the husband of Mary's sister, Nancy Frost; and the children of both families.

Mary and Jerome moved to Mexico in 1889, as part of the exodus of Mormons who went there to avoid prosecution for polygamy, although Jerome doesn't seem to have had more than one wife.

Jerome died in Mexico in 1902.
