John D Adams was born in 1826 in Letcher County, Kentucky, United States, son of Randolph Adams (1802–1873) and Nancy Caudill (1804–1863).
John married Frankie Smith (born in 1828 in Va; daughter of William Branham Smith and Elizabeth (Childers) Smith). Their son was Randall Adams (1852–~1897).
John (19) married Franky Smith in Letcher on July 23, 1846.[1]
John died on February 11, 1867 in Letcher County, aged 40. He was buried in Webb Cemetery, Mayking, Letcher County, Kentucky.[2]
