Biography
Lucinda C. Acree was born on 31 October 1833 in Madison County, Tennessee, the daughter of Bevery Dandridge Acree and Susan Margaret Bowman.[1] She moved with his family to Ouachita Parish, Louisiana about 1834, and the Acrees settled in the portion that became Union Parish in 1839.
Lucinda married Stephen R. Crow, who died while serving in the Confederate Army. Lucinda raised their son and her orphaned nephew, John Thomas Hudson on her farm near Marion.
