Hello, Sharon!

Congratulations on certifying to work on pre-1700 profiles! It’s very important to read and understand the Help:Pre-1700 Profiles page.

Primary sources should always be added to pre-1700 profiles at the time they are created. If you don't have a source for a pre-1700 profile, it would be best to ask for help in the G2G forum before creating the profile.

These profiles for deep ancestors are shared by many, and collaborating on them works best if we all follow the guidelines in the certification quiz.

Kind regards,

Pippin Sheppard – WikiTree Greeter

You are so very welcome. I've mentally committed to getting the database errors in Georgia down to a reasonable number.
Hi!

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, there are a few more features you may find useful.

Ideas on what to include in a profile can be found in Styles and Standards, including some tips on writing biographies.

If you need to describe an event, an heirloom or a location relevant to your research, you may like to learn about Free Space Profiles.

Lastly, sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. We have a process for resolving those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask via my profile page.

Hello, my name is richard williams. I am a descendent of Cornelius Kincheloe who is the ancestor of basically all Kincheloes in the US. I found this information regarding your ancestor John W. Kincheloe (who is probably descended from my 6 times great grandfather's brother John Kincheloe Jr.) and may have been one of the "Old 300" who were instrumental in the settlement of Texas.
