Biography
The birth of Dorothy Ablott was registered during the 3rd Qtr. 1921 at Chorlton, Lancashire, England. Her mother's maiden name was Ansell.[1] (Marriage records show that George J. Ablott married Cecelia Ansell at Chorlton during the 3rd Qtr. 1918.[2])
Dorothy married John Edward Thaw the marriage being registered in Manchester, Lancashire, in the 1st Qtr of 1941. After the birth of two children, John Edward (named for his father) and Raymond Stuart "Ray" Thaw, she abandoned the family.[3]
Dorothy married a second time, to Alan J West, the marriage registered in the 1st Qtr of 1958, in Manchester, Lancashire.[4]
Dorothy West née Ablott, also Thaw died of stomach cancer in 1974 on 2 Feb 1974,[5] and is buried at the Gorton Cemetery, Manchester, Metropolitan Borough of Manchester, Greater Manchester, England: Plot: BNon Conformist 744, alongside her parents.[6]
