Henry August Lau was born on May 27, 1864, in Wibbese, Lower Saxony, Germany, his father, Johann, was 34 and his mother, Dorothee, was 32. He married Georgia Anna Godfrey on April 13, 1898, in LaMoure, North Dakota. They had 14 children in 25 years. He died on March 19, 1930, in LaMoure, North Dakota, at the age of 65, and was buried in La Moure, North Dakota. [1]

Possible birth record, need a send matching record. Breese in der Marsch is a location name and a suburb of Dannenberg. Wibese is 1 hour south of Dannenberg.

Family tree finds him living in North Dakota, The last name on the emigration record "Abel" is not fully explained, but "Lau" appears to match this family tree.

Johann, son of Johann August Wilhelm Abel & Dorothea Elisabeth Abel, was born on 27 May 1864 and baptised on 12 June 1864 in Hannover, Hannover, Deutschland (Germany).[3]

Henry died in 1930 and was buried in Rosehill Cemetery, LaMoure, LaMoure County, North Dakota, United States.[4]
