Henry August Lau was born on May 27, 1864, in Wibbese, Lower Saxony, Germany, his father, Johann, was 34 and his mother, Dorothee, was 32. He married Georgia Anna Godfrey on April 13, 1898, in LaMoure, North Dakota. They had 14 children in 25 years. He died on March 19, 1930, in LaMoure, North Dakota, at the age of 65, and was buried in La Moure, North Dakota. ^[1]
