Anne Wales Abbott was born on April 10, 1808 in Beverly, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of Abiel Abbott and Eunice Wales.[1]
Anne designed the card game, Dr. Busby, which sold 15,000 copies in the 1st 18 months after its creation. She was also the author of Autumn Leaves: Original Pieces in Prose and Verse , which was published in 1853. She also authored Doctor Busby and His Neighbors, Kate and Lizzie, Six Months Out of School, Lost Wheelbarrow and Other Stories, and The Tamed and the Untamed and Other Stories, which were children's stories.[2]
Anne died on June 1, 1908, at 100 years of age.[3]
