Biography

Sophie was born in about 1883 in Romania. She is the daughter of Benjamin Aronowitz and Charna Abrams. She married Joseph Janis on 25 Jan 1905 in Manhattan, New York. They have 4 children: Benjamin, Murray, Jack, and Oscar. She passed away in 1948. Burial in Mount Hebron Cemetery, Flushing, New York.
