Communication Preferences: I am interested in communicating private message with cousins and anyone else with an interest in genealogy. My family tree is here on WikiTree but it's private.
I have managed to trace my ancestors back to around 1780 which is good for Irish records. I have spread out along many of the family branches and am still getting surprise emails from unknown relations across the world.

I have a lot of work to complete on Wikitree.....adding photos, minor details, some new arrivals and departures and crucially, some dates and information. I am searching for a younger relation to carry on the updating and research but none have come forward as yet.

Hi, I'm Brendan Downey, based in N. Ireland, and I have been building up my family trees for over 30 years. It is now time to allow the younger generations to take over the duties of updating the names and dates so I am adding my ged.com to Wikitree. Through the years the family has spread over the world and having a record of their roots is very important to them. I hope and trust that Wikitree will preserve their ancestry and give them a platform to continue adding facts, photos, names and dates.
