Bridget Atkinson was born about 1807 in Wexford, Ireland, daughter of Thomas Atkinson (~1769–<1837) and Bridget Thornborrow (~1766–~1810).
Bridget married Humphrey Dewell (born on June 4, 1792 in Woolpit, Suffolk, England; son of Nathaniel Dewell and Sarah Miller).
Their daughter was Alice Amelia Dewell (~1824–1899).
Some time prior to September 16, 1840, Bridget's husband passed away.[1]
On September 16, 1840, David Benjamin Johnson, of Liverpool, filed a marriage intention to marry Alice Amelia Duell in the Church of St, Peter in Liverpool. He was 21 and she was 18. At this time, David swore an oath that he received the consent of Bridget Duell, Alice's mother, as her father was dead.[1]
