I am doing family searches for a Soileau/Leger family tree. We were always told that my Dad’s great grandmother, which appears to be Caroline (LeJeune) Leger, was a full blooded American Indian. I am the only daughter of Pearl (Bourgeois) Besse. She was born May 30, 1920. She was 59 when she passed on Sep 28, 1979. Also, missing in the list of Leo and Raphaella’s children is their daughter, Mary Nina (Bourgeois) Gongaware. She was 81 when she passed on 13 Feb 2010. Her birthday was 23 July 1928.
Also missing is Ramona (Bourgeois) Leverett, the youngest daughter of the 12 children of Leo and Raphaella. She was born 1 Dec 1929 and died 7 Feb 2011, she was 81.
