Biography

Laura Candler was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at 220 Euclid Avenue, Atlanta Ward 9, Fulton County, Georgia for the April 20, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1908 in Georgia and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head A G Candler Jr., wife Helen Candler, daughter Lucy Candler, son John Candler, brother-in-law W W Mcgill and servant Landrum Anderson.[1]

Laura Candler was enumerated as daughter of the head of household at Briar Cliff Road, Decatur, DeKalb County, Georgia for the January 2, United States Census, 1920. She was noted as born 1910 in Georgia and single as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Asa G Candler Jr., wife Hellen Candler, daughter Lucy Candler, son John Candler, daughter Hellen Candler, daughter Martha Candler and son Samuel Candler. Also included in the household but not transcribed were servant Landrum Anderson, maid Jessy Anderson (apparently the wife of Landrum), cook Fannie Upshaw and chauffeur (driver) Eli Johnson.[2]

Laura Candler Chambers is buried at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia.[3]
