It looks like Rut Anna Lovisa married on 6 Nov 1927 to Johan Adil Forsman (b. 23 Jul 1898 in Piteå stadsförsamling). In the 1950 Census they are living in Umeå. Johan Adil's occupation is "Hotellägare," or hotel owner. In the same household is 10-year old girl (b. 2 Jan 1940 in Piteå landsförsamling). Her relationship to the two adults is not explicated. We can guess that she's their daughter, then go looking for a birth record for confirmation. It looks like she's still alive, living a couple hours from Umeå. For a slim layer of privacy, I will refrain from mentioning her name here in this public forum.

If you already have a subscription to ArkivDigital, you can see the 1950 census record by searching for this shortcut: r1.p2713959. Or, if you'd like, I can also message you privately with that and the other information I've found... perhaps you're looking to contact a living cousin in Sweden?

Hello Marta,

Thank you for your research.  Yes I am trying to fill out my paternal family tree to find any living relatives in Sweden.  The father of Ruth who you were researching is Jonas Gustaf Granstrom, my great great grandfather.  Some of his children moved to the Americas and some stayed in Sweden.

Please message me with the information you found, I am interested in learning more about my extended family.

Thanks,

Erik
