[Solved] Sticker for Swedish Native wanted [closed]

Question

In the Scandinavian countries we have an awkward incongruency in the national stickers. We have the {{Danish Native}} with the "... was born in Denmark" text, and the {{Norway Native}} with the similar ''... was born in Norway" text. But for Sweden there's only the {{Sweden Sticker}} with the text "... lived in Sweden".

I have lots of profiles of people who was born in Sweden, but lived and died in Norway. I'd love to give them a {{Swedish Native}} sticker with the text "... was born in Sweden".

I guess there are similar issues in lots of countries, but this is the one that bugs me the most.

We could do this pretty easily with the {{Sweden Sticker}} without having to add a new sticker.

For example, {{Sweden Sticker|born}} would output the desired text.

Since this was a simple an unobtrusive change, I went ahead and added this functionality: Template:Sweden_Sticker.

Steven, that sounds like a great idea, given that the default behaviour of a sticker shouldn't be changed.

Perhaps this could be generalised, like for instance:

• {{Country|roots}} - has roots in Country
• {{Country|born}} - was born in Country
• {{Country|lived}} - lived in Country

We can definitely do that for some stickers (like Sweden) moving forward.

In the past it was common to create stickers for each new 'type' that was needed, which led to a bunch of different stickers for different purposes. That is why you see separate Roots and Native stickers for Denmark and Norway instead of a more generalized sticker like we just started for Sweden in this thread.

Stickers are a bit of a mess.
