Hi

I was looking for help connecting to the big tree, I haven't connected to any section of the tree yet.

The majority of people are from Yorkshire, so hopefully it will help others also from Yorkshire.

Some surnames are:

Raper: Leeds, Bradford, Pudsey the lines goes back to 1655

Cheetham: Leeds

Townsley: Leeds, back to 1781

Killerby: Leeds *I have been told there is a link to Pulleyns, and the Scotts of Scott's Hall, Bedingfields, not sure how true.

Robinson: Knaresborough

Sadd: Suffolk

Soden: they are Navvies, so locations not much use

Bryans: Ireland

Appleyard: Leeds

Barr: Leeds/Bristol

Yewdall: Yorkshire, back to 1514, includes a well known methodist preacher, Zachariah

McLoughlin/McLaughlin: Leeds/Ireland

Meegan: Leeds/Ireland

If anyone has any advice/info please let us known,

Thanks

I agree with Maureen Rosenfeld in that adding siblings and spouses of your ancestors helps your family tree grow. I'm doing the same with my English, Scottish, and Irish ancestors.

 Keep going. :-)

I looked at a couple of the profiles you created. From what I can see you are adding only your ancestors. If you start adding siblings and spouses of them in each generation, you will have a better chance of connecting your family to other profiles.

True,

I've done a lot of siblings for Samuel Raper and his nieces and nephews, just haven't got round to the others yet.

I'll start adding siblings for the people already uploaded

Thanks
