Colonel William Wynne-192 gave his name to Wynne's Creek, on the Banister River, which today lies just north of Halifax, Halifax Co VA. In 1720 that spot was Brunswick Co VA, and in 1746 that spot was Luneburg Co Va, and in 1752 that spot was Halifx Co VA.

Here is a land record, dated, which specifically mentions Col. Wynne, and his neighbors.

!Entry Record Book 1737-1770 (Land entries in the present Virginia Counties of Halifax, Pittsylvania, Henry, Franklin & Patrick)FHLbook 1754 Henry SIZEMORE 400 acres on head of upper fork of Great Polecat Creek between said Polecat and ye branches of Sandy Creek. Beginning at a rock house thence southward. Also, 400 acres at the fork of Reedy Creek adjoining Col. WYNNE's line of his Order Council thence down both sides of said Creek.(Land recorded in Halifax Co, VA)

Here is an exact map of today which shows the place he lived at. Notice it is now spelled as Winn Creek. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winn_Creek_(Banister_River_tributary)

Winn Creek is a 6.93 mi (11.15 km) long 3rd order tributary to the Banister River in Halifax County, Virginia.

I'm getting a "921 PPP Without Project Account and without ProjectBox" Error message on this profile.

Should we add a Project Box, and a Project Account to the profile?

Or, should we delete the Project Protection Status?

Or, is there another alternative I am unaware of? Thanks

Wynne-1469 and Wynne-192 appear to represent the same person because: I created a profile for William Wynne, father of Martha (Wynne) Dixon. When I did this, I obviously overlooked your profile in the possible match list.

1732 mention of William Wynn in Brunswick is probably this William: http://files.usgwarchives.net/va/brunswick/history/ftchrist.txt
